AWG Self-Esteem Readings
Self-Care

I’m wondering whether self-care is even possible for me as an autistic person.
As I
learn more about self-care, I like the idea of it, but there are logistical
challenges for me. For example, I’d like to be able to take
a hot bath when I’m upset. But baths are unusual for me, and being upset is the
very worst time to do anything unusual. I’d like to get a massage, but the executive
and social aspects make it daunting. I’d like to get more fresh air, but the
sound and light outside would undo any good effects their air might have. I’m wondering whether self-care is even possible for me as an autistic person.
