AWG Connecting Hour 🤝

AWG Connecting Hour is an opportunity for AWG members who already attend the Main Meeting to have a space with a bit more interaction. In the Main Meeting, each person only shares about themselves, and we avoid replying to each other's shares at all.

In Connecting Hour, there may be responses to a share, only when explicitly requested.

Camera, mic, sharing, or responding, all remain optional.

Meeting description

• Please be as specific as you can about the ways you do and don’t want to experience others during your share time.

You can request the kind of connection you’re seeking and how you’d like to experience it.

Some examples would be:

- I’d love some advice on...and I’d like people to share advice in the general space;

- I just need to know I’m not alone with...and want others experiencing it too to direct chat me;

- I want to show off my favorite (toy, stim, stuffie)...and want to see other peoples’ favorites.

• You do not have to respond to another member’s request.

• Unlike in the AWG main meeting, we may offer advice or feedback, but only when it’s explicitly requested, and we do so respecting the member’s wishes and by sharing from our own experience, using“I” statements.
